| Ewe skull - note how the horns come from the skull in one piece and then split into two horns. As you can see in the live picture, this ewe had very wide spacing between her horns. This is the only ewe skull I've looked at and don't know if this is usual for ewes. Compare to ram skull below. This ewe was injured and had to be put down. Her two lambs were both fused on one side. | |

Ram skull shows two obviously separate horns coming from the skull. Also note the seam in the horn sheath and the corresponding separate sliver of horn on the lateral. I don't think I would consider this ram to be five horned despite the seam, but would welcome other opinions.
