Our lambs are here! As always, Unzicker Asher has sired some beauties. Lots of leg flash on his lambs again this year. Jacquee's Junco's first lambs for Patchwork were born this year and he's passed on his lovely soft fleece. The horns on some of his four horned ram lambs were the biggest I've ever seen on newborn 4 horned ram lambs. We're watching closely to see how they develop. Our two recent additions, Craft's Praline and Yakob-Tson Vachal, should be lambing soon. Delilah, the donkey, presented us with a jet black jenny the middle of March. Arwen will join her older sister, Lili, in guarding our flock. Because of the adult ewes we added to our flock in the last year and our commitment to keeping the flock small, we will be selling most of this years lambs, as well as some adult ewes. I will consider trades - I am looking for an unrelated ram, four horned from four horned parents. |
A handsome four - did I say four? I meant six - horned boy with excellent fleece just like his sire, Jacquee's Junco and dam, Spahr Farm Lorraine. This lamb has the deer like appearance we like to see in our lambs.
Patchwork Dasher, daughter of Unzicker Asher and Fibre Folds Danya. Dasher is the image of her mother, except with a larger right eye patch. Last year, we carded Asher's and Danya's fleeces together for a lovely roving that was quickly sold out. This spring, the combination of Asher and Danya created another top blend. Two horns. |

Patchwork Halle, Unzicker Asher & Rose Canyon Huckleberry, is the real ham of this year's bunch! Nicely marked with a smile and a heart on her right side! Huckleberry is a lilac. Four horns |
Patchwork Gainsbourough, Jacquee's Junco x Patchwork Martha, a lilac four horned wether. Dynamite fleece!
"Snap", Jacquee's Junco x Patchwork Viva. An angel fleece on this girl, with a soft halo above a soft, crimpy fleece.
Patchwork Thyme, four horned daughter of Unzicker Asher and Jacquee's Rosemary. Lots of leg flash and an even softly crimped fleece.
Patchwork Baker, named for his habit of sleeping in a feed tub - looks just like a lamb in a roasting pan! This guy looks two horned, but shows an obvious seam, so is more likely an evenly fused four horned. I haven't seen one before, so it's going to be fun to watch him develop. excellent fleece. Jacquee's Junco x St. Jude's Janice |
